I've had a few pairs of Tevas in the past and they were always super soft and comfortable. The new Teva sandals feel the same when you first put them on but they take on your foot's shape and becomes hard on the pressure points. In the past it would cushion the most heaviest points, not it just takes on the shape and one can really feel the floor on those particular spots. I am very disappointed that Teva has chosen to save a few pennies for a cheaper material. Now I have to find a new favorite sandal.

Actually, it feels as if I was fated to wear only Teva's flip flops. I used to own a pair back in high school, but didn't know the name of the brand, except that the logo was a white hand. Now, 4 years later, I was constantly having uncomfortable feet/pain due to footwear. First I stopped wearing shoes, and wore Reef's sandals. However, the Reef sandals only felt good for first week and became unbearable to wear it.
Once I found this flip flop, I ordered it... the moment it arrived, I wore them and just felt soooo good that I sighed with a long "ahhhhhhhhh~"
As an avid surfer & college student, I fully recommend these flip flops. comfortable, lasts a while, and just feel so good for the feet.

These are extremely comfortable. My wife got these for me this summer and I've worn them all day at the beach and the amusement park on several occasions. They are very comfortable and cushion every step. Plus, unlike other flip flops that I've worn. These don't cause any discomfort from the anchor that runs between your toes.
I'm ordering a second pair!

If CR rated lightweight sandals, these would get a high rating. I didn't think I would like thong style footwear. In Colorado I liked heavier Teva-type sandals. We lack the big rocks and rugged terrain of the West down in the Deep South where I live now. My Mush puppies last a season or two because I wear them so often. And I walk my dog on hard surfaces daily, adding to the wear and tear. In the hottest weather with high humidity, my feet sweat and squeak and squish around, the only drawback. It would be nice to have a more supporting strap model with the lightweight Mush sole. I once found a knockoff brand and loved them but have not seen any since. I've worn out the heels in a few pairs of the Mush sandals, but keep several pairs, get 'em in the off season on sale!

I own a pair of these flip flops and the Reef flip flops. This one works much better when going to the pool or beach or when it gets wet. You don't slip and slide around when walking, even when wet. Very comfortable too.
