Beautiful, Accurate and Rugged Watch Oct 05, 2008 I am absolutely delighted with my Omega Seamaster chronometer. It is well within COSC standards, gaining around 2 seconds a day. I love the attention to detail, such as the "wave pattern" on the face and the "Seamaster" logo on the back. It's a very comfortable watch, and not too large for a small wrist. I love the screw-down crown which really helps it to achieve 300-meter water resistance. This watch is simply beautiful, and it's a watch that can be passed down the generations, unlike a quartz watch whose electronics will be gone before too long. I purchased my Omega through an authorized dealer; I think purchasing a "gray market" Omega is simply nuts. I know that Omega will honor my warranty, because I have the warranty cards! Finally glad that I indulged myself with an Omega. This is one purchase that is definitely worth it!
Awesome watch at a great price (relatively speaking of course) Sep 04, 2008 If you look at the actual Omega website, you'll notice a few things that seem... well... a little different. There is no corresponding watch with that item number listed on the Omega website. However, the model number listed on the box is in fact 2222.80. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but in fact, the watch is a mid-size seamaster 300M diver chronometer co-axial automatic watch and it is a beautiful sight indeed. It's a nicer size for me as my wrist is probably average-joe sized. I saw the gents version in the store and it looked huge on me! The watch has a very nice weight and heft to it. The second hand floats across the face as many automatic watches do with the subtlest of tick-tick-tick-tick noises. I believe it's basically the exact same watch as the James Bond 2220.80, just in a slightly smaller form factor. The pictures on Amazon and the pictures of the full size gents watch on Omega's website are very representative of what you'll receive. I'll be taking it in to have some of the wrist band links removed tomorrow - I tried myself, but don't have the correct tools to do the job properly.
All in all, a very beautiful and functional watch. I plan on making it my daily watch, except for when I go on vacation.

I love this watch Aug 12, 2008 I bought this watch in 1999 as a splurge and have worn it every day since then. I never baby this watch and absolutely love the looks, durability and accuracy of it. It still looks as good as the day that I bought it and I plan to have it for life and probably pass it down to my son. There are darn few things you buy that you love and that actually appreciate in value and I can tell that this is one of them. Even on Amazon the price today is about $1k more than I spent in '99. I liked mine so much that I bought a lady Omega for my wife and she wears it everyday and loves it. Buy this with confidence, you'll love it.

Omega Seamaster Professional Jun 26, 2008 This is a watch that i have been dreaming for the last 13 years. It's everything i was expecting and then more. Very nice looking and the feeling is superb... not too heavy, not too light. Without being too pretentious (the watch, not the owner... LOL) it really draws a lot of attention. The quality by Omega is extraordinary!

Omega:very poor quality and zero customer support May 10, 2008 I purchased a Seamaster in June 07; it broke by Mar 08. When I asked for warranty repair, the repair center said I had to pay $400 because I lost a card that was supposed to come with watch. Even tho I had the receipt, they played hardball and eschewed their customer.
I would never buy another Omega.
