 Comfortable and stylish Dec 27, 2008
I am very satisfied and happy i purchased these boots. They are very comfortable and stylish. I bought these during winter so that i would have a pair ready for spring, but i actually have started to wear them now. I love the fact that there is enough space to tuck in my jeans. They have kept my feet and pants dry, but not very warm. And that of course is logical since they are meant for the rain not for cold snow. I wear double socks or a thick pair and that works fine. I got mine in a size 8, and i am usually 7 1/2-8.

Overall these are good quality, fun boots that won't make you look like the Gorton's Fisherman. ;) Clean design, nice finish, the metal logo tag makes them look more fashionable that strictly functional.
CONSTRUCTION: Good sturdy sole with toothy tread. The picture represents this accurately. Unlike many rain boots I've found which are just vinyl, these have about 1/4 inch thick fabric cushioning on the inside (looks like some kind of foam or neoprene). This makes the boots more comfortable to wear and I imagine more warm and/or less clammy.
COLOR: I bought the black giraffe-like print. As others have mentioned the photo is misleading. The prints is actually a light grey on black, not white on black. But still attractive.
FIT: The rounded toe doesn't squeeze the foot or cause discomfort. The fit is nice and narrow in the width (not snug, there's definitely room to move, but a slender line instead of clown boots). However, as several others have mentioned the length seems to run about a 1/2 size big even with thick socks. I bought my normal boot size and there is a full 3/4 inch space between my big toe and the boot tip. If the next half size smaller becomes available I'll exchange them. I have a long narrow foot and still found this too long.
Despite the larger sizing these were still comfortable on a test around the house. Not a lot of flopping. The boot shaft fits slim to the leg, but still gives room to tuck in pants.

I really like this boot -- tall, comfy, appears well-made for the money. However, I concur with an earlier reviewer. The boot is a second!
I ordered the gray/black graphic print and there were areas in which there was no black print. These areas were filled in with some kind of black marker. Very tacky, very unacceptable.
This is not my first experience with receiving damaged or defective items from Amazon, particularly with shoes & bags. I only buy the best deals, and I look at everything with an eagle eye. Any damage, any defects, any anything, and they go back. I am finding defects & damage on the order of 1 in 4 items.
This item was no exception. Returned at Amazon's expense.

I purchased these boots in the Black/Grey color and am really happy with them. I do wish that they came in half sizes, but they are very comfortable and fairly easy to walk around in (considering they are rainboots). I would recommend these boots. Very comfortable.

The insole is cushioned and the overall fit is great, if a bit large-- I wear a 7.5-8 and the 8 is rather long on me. With double socks, though, they are just fine. Overall they look mature and well-made, and I don't regret the purchase one bit.
