Lots of Fun Feb 08, 2010 This was a gift for my brother, the whole extended family had a great time taking shots at the targets. The sound effects were great too! You do need a clear line to the electric eye of the target to register a hit. That's where the marksmanship comes in. I recommend this for older kids and young-at-hearts.

Not as good as it looks Jan 09, 2010 I was so excited when I purchased this for my 5 year old son, thinking it would be a great way to spend some cold winter afternoons. However, it is still sitting in the same place he unwrapped it nearly a month ago. Although the directions clearly tell you how to shoot and aim appropriately, they are a bit flawed. The gun is not "calibrated" to send the infrared beam to the can or bottle. Nothing happens when you aim for the bottle, can, or log. In order to hit the target, you must aim at the bottom edge of the log resting against the table or floor. Once you aim there, you can knock it off every time. Thus, there is nothing realistic about trying to hit the target. Once we showed him where to aim to hit the target (essentially, the floor), the game lost its magic because that makes no sense to a 5 year old. What fun is it to aim at the floor and have a can on a log fly off? Great idea, just not so well made...
Wild West in your living room Apr 24, 2009 The product is as advertised, but even better than shown in the photo. The "log" comes with spots for four cans and bottles to be placed and with two bottles and two cans. From the photo, I thought it would only be two. Aim is almost "true", but not quite. Need to aim low to hit the marks. Gun is fairly realistic looking and large, and made of plastic. Makes shooting and ricochet noise when trigger is pulled. Lots of fun. Big hit with 4 (and 41) year old boy(s).

Wild West Gunslinger Target Shooting Set Jan 09, 2009 Purchased this for our Grandson. We are using it to teach him about guns and what he can and cannot shoot at.

Best shooting game for an adult party and for kids Jan 01, 2009 I bought one of these shooting sets 2 years ago for myself (44) and everytime I have a party, this is the hit for Adults as well as kids. It is very precise and you really have to target right to hit it. It's not an "automatic hit" just if you target 6 inches off. Makes it a real competition. Sound of the gun is good and bottles fly off nicely. Highly recommended. Just bought one for a friend my age for christmas and everybody in her family loves it already.
